- 10โ15 kg aged basmati rice
- Water for soaking and boiling
- Cloves
- Green cardamom

For Layering
- Additional ghee
- Food color mixed in water
- Milk infused with cloves and cardamom
- Dough for sealing the pot
Preparation Method
Step 1: Soak the Rice
Wash the basmati rice thoroughly and soak it in water for about two hours. This helps the grains cook evenly and remain long and separate.
Step 2: Prepare the Mutton Base
