Turmeric Milk Recipe (Golden Milk)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup milk (cow’s milk or plant-based like almond, oat, or coconut)
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder (or 1-inch fresh turmeric root, grated)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper (enhances curcumin absorption)
  • ½ teaspoon honey (optional, for sweetness)
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon (optional, for flavor & added benefits)
  • ½ teaspoon grated ginger (optional, for anti-inflammatory properties)

Instructions:

  1. Heat the milk in a saucepan over medium heat (do not boil).
  2. Add turmeric, black pepper, and other optional ingredients.
  3. Stir well and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Strain (if using fresh turmeric/ginger) and pour into a cup.
  5. Add honey if desired and drink warm.

Recommended Quantity

  • For general health: 1 cup per day (preferably before bedtime).
  • For specific health concerns (like inflammation or cold relief): Up to 2 cups per day.
  • For children (above 2 years): ½ cup per day (after consulting a doctor).
